Bizarre footage shows rat with a sapling growing on its back
Farmer Datar Singh found the remarkable rat in Madhya Pradesh, India. After finding the rodent, said to be in 'immense pain' by his neighbours, Mr Singh took it home to remove the sapling. He'd planted the soya beans earlier in the year but never expected one to be growing through a rats back when he came back to inspect the crop. Professor A Siddiqui, head of biology at a college in nearby Barnagar, said the rats survival was a 'miracle' as although the plant had grown in the neck region there wasn't any brain damage.
